LOSCON 34 - The Annual Los Angeles Science Fiction Convention Nov 2007
I had a rather hectic convention, despite the light panel load. It was the first convention that the Greater Los Angeles Writers Society had an outreach table, my wife had a double booth in the dealer room, and my panel schedule got changed around.
"Writing Your First Novel" was a thoughtful discussion of the trials and tribulations that lead to each novelist getting published for the first time. Note Leslie Ann Moore is an active member of GLAWS, and I was surprised to see Mark in his new role as author (see below).
Tony N. Todaro, Carol Anne Alves, Mark Ferrari (M), Leslie Ann Moore, Michael D'Abrosio
Lilly and I have known Mark Ferrari for a number of years as a terrific artist and fine painter. We've purchased several of his pieces. After he damaged his drawing hand in an accident, he took up writing and turned his first novel, "The Book of Joby" into a winner for TOR.
